$1,200 - $2,400 annual educational incentive available for degree holders from an accredited college or university.

Performs a variety of routine and complex administrative, regulatory and technical work related to municipal code enforcement and compliance. The Code Compliance Officer manages and administers the City’s code compliance program, including facilitation of the abatement of public nuisances approved by the City Council. The position is also responsible for monitoring compliance with other City codes, regulations, and ordinances.
Typical daily routine office procedures include effective filing, development and maintenance of accurate record keeping techniques, and the ability to administer large amounts of information.
Experience Required: 3 years of experience in code enforcement, building inspection, construction, and/or inspections. Any equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Minimum Education Requirements: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
Certification Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license; must possess Oklahoma Code Enforcement Association certification within 12 months of hire.
Direct Supervisor: Community Development Director.
Supervisory Responsibility: Generally, none. May supervise part-time and temporary staff, as assigned.
Primary Work Location: City Hall. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
