The City of Danville Aquatics Center is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager.
This professional position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pool, overseeing staff, implementing various aquatic programs, and ensuring all appropriate water, health and safety standards are maintained. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork, customer service and leadership skills.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. Post high school education is preferred.
- Two (2) years of management experience.
- Certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding (or be able to attend Lifeguard classes to become certified).
- Illinois Class D Driver’s License.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following examples are illustrative of the work duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Operate and manage the municipal pool operations within the standards and requirements established from time to time in the Illinois Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Code.
- Cooperate with, advise, and consult with the Aquatics Manager and his/her staff in all matters related to operations and maintenance of the municipal pool. This includes but is not limited to the establishment of hours and closing the pool for reasons other than required by code.
- Maintain such books and records that shall accurately reflect and recognize all cash and other receipts and all expenses relating to the municipal pool and other duties, and to make all such books and records available to the City for examination or audit at any time.
- Charge admission fees, membership fees and other fees at rates established by the City but not less than the current rates.
- Schedule, supervise, direct, and train employees.
- Organize, schedule, and perform all daily and otherwise necessary maintenance of the municipal pool facility. This includes but is not limited to water sampling and analysis and the consequent application of appropriate chemicals.
- Maintain the municipal pool in constant and continuous compliance with all requirements of the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Code including all reporting requirements.
Benefits: In accordance with Paid Leave for All Workers Act (PLAWA), part-time, seasonal, auxiliary and temporary employees (not hired through a temporary employment agency) will earn one (1) hour of paid leave for every forty (40) hours worked in a 12-month period, up to a maximum of forty (40) hours of paid leave in a 12-month period.
