The Workforce Development Manager is responsible for helping to oversee the City of Everett’s summer and year-round job training programs, workforce development initiatives, and related programming. This role includes managing program operations, developing partnerships to expand career opportunities for youth and young professionals, and securing funding through effective grant management and writing. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree, has experience in workforce development or related field and is passionate about helping young people build successful career paths through skill development, mentorship, and professional opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Program Oversight and Development :
- Plan, implement, and evaluate summer and year-round job training programs for youth and young professionals.
- Develop workforce development programming tailored to the needs of participants, focusing on career readiness, professional skills, and industry exposure.
