The City of Farmington is accepting applications for a Parks and Recreation Director.
This position requires excellent communication and public relations skills. Responsibilities include supervision of personnel, budgeting, long/short term planning, project management, oversight of daily operations and marketing of the programs and offerings. The Parks and Recreation Director is accountable for managing and overseeing of all aspects of the parks, Civic Center and Water Park as well as the Centene Center (performing arts center). This position will perform supervisory responsibilities for recreation activities, facilities, and special events and work as a liaison to various recreational leagues. This position requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities and a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Salary range is $75,000 to $90,000 with an excellent benefit package.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Park Administration, or a closely related field, with 5 years of full-time work related to recreation.
