City of Gentry is accepting applications for a full time Administrative Assistant. This position will include a wide variety of responsible and complex administrative support. Responsibilities will include: Answer the telephone and direct calls to appropriate department. Greet and assist residents/customers by helping them or directing them to appropriate departments. Perform general administrative support as needed to other departments within the city. Utilize applicable computer software to prepare correspondence, reports, etc. with minimal direction. Successfully meet deadlines and follow written and oral instructions. Work as a team with co-workers and be able to multi-task. Attention to detail a must. This is a full-time position with benefits. Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Note: Experience with debits credits, 10 key typing, general ledger accounting, governmental accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries is a plus but not required for this specific role.
