- Maintain a positive City of Glendale and department image to citizens.
- Learn and gain proficiency of CivicRec software. CivicRec is the reservations and transaction tool.
- Opening/unlocking the facility and preparing for customer transactions.
- Perform full cashiering duties when there is not enough staff coverage on site.
- Perform rentals oversight including leading other staff. This includes room rental tours, facility tours, setup, and tear down of tables and chairs for rentals and completing the rentals checklist for cleaning.
- Follow safety and security procedures. Prepare professional and detailed incident, accident and other reports, and documents.
- Communicate effectively with staff supervising as well as clear written communication to supervisors and other staff.
- Closing Out Night Cashier which includes cash handling (dual custody, counting, verifying, and signing) and cash vault management.
- Closing/locking the facility. This includes making sure the building and rental rooms are empty and making sure staff depart at least in pairs for safety.
- Supervise the front desk staff.
- Check on different program areas of the building by walking the building and checking in with patrons.
- Ability and comfortable to working independently.
- Operate a city vehicle, when needed.
- Adhere to dress code and uniform policy.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Transport items as necessary to Rose Lane pool.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to:
- Learn Parks and Recreation policies and regulations.
- Understand and follow safe working practices.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, in-person, verbally and in writing.
- Effectively handle conflict and escalations.
- Conduct equipment and facility checks.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the public.
- Be punctual and responsible for completing work shifts as scheduled
Special Requirements:
- Valid Arizona driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age to drive City vehicles.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. A post-offer physical assessment is required. The City of Glendale will incur the cost of all required testing.
