What are the responsibilities and job description for the WP Food & Beverage - Kitchen Staff & Prep position at City of Hartsville, SC?
Our Food & Beverage Crew keeps Neptune Island guests (and staff) full and happy for the long summer days at our island oasis. Food & Beverage Crew Members are responsible for cooking and/or grilling, food preparation, stocking and inventorying items, washing dishes and keeping areas at the Neptune Island standard for sanitation and cleanliness. Crew Members are also trained as cashiers to serve guests at our Food & Beverage Kiosks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides outstanding guest service.
- Operates a computerized Point of Sale system in an efficient and timely manner.
- Must perform to standards of South Carolina DHEC rules and regulations as it relates to food handling.
- Prepares and cooks food and/or drinks for our guest and crew members.
- Ensures that all guests receive prompt and courteous attention.
- Maintains clean work stations and performs end of shift cleaning duties. Includes but not limited to: washing of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and grill area.
- Any other duties as assigned by management, supervisors or leads.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with exposure to direct sunlight, hot temperatures and other inclement weather, including but not limited to: rain, storms, high winds, and cold temperatures.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Participate in mandatory in-service training throughout the season.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds or higher, with assistance.
- Cash handling skills a plus.
- Must be able to complete ServSafe Handler course prior to employment.
