What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER SPORTS INSTRUCTOR position at City of Hobbs?
Assist in the organizing, coordinating and instructing of a summer sports programs for adults and youth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Regular attendance is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Assist in the planning and organizing of the class format.
- Coordinate and provide leadership and direction to participants.
- Assist in the development and distribution of media communication regarding class.
- Promote interest and provides information regarding sports classes to the general public.
- Perform custodial work as needed to maintain sanitary standards and upkeep of facility.
- Leads and actively participates in instruction during program operational hours.
- Assist in organizing and administering tennis tournaments as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:Any combination of education and knowledge equivalent to a high school background.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of any one of the sports programs offer. (i.e. basketball, volleyball, tennis, wrestling, football and weight training)(B) Ability to interact and supervise the participation of patrons.
(C) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, participants, and the general public.
(D) Ability to follow written and oral instructions; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
(E) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
