What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER SPORTS SUPERVISOR position at City of Hobbs?
- Regular attendance is required to perform the duties of this position.
- Maintain relative records for all sports programs.
- Prepare weekly work schedules for instructors to ensure adequate coverage of programs. Manage and supervise sports facilities during scheduled programs to include crowd control, player and instructor supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED. Supervisory experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Skill in operation of listed equipment.
Working knowledge of various sports and their rules (i.e. basketball, volleyball, tennis, wrestling, football, and weight training).
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, participants, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to give and understand oral instructions.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Basketball equipment, scoreboard, score clock, tennis equipment, volleyball equipment, football equipment, and weight training equipment.
