The City of Huber Heights, Ohio, located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in proximity of the Dayton International Airport and the I-75/I-70 “Crossroads of America” interchange with a population of 43,439. The City of Huber Heights is one of the fastest growing communities in southwest Ohio and is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Event and Programs Coordinator. This position works under the direction of the Parks Manager and is responsible for planning, implementation, coordination, and supervision of recreation programs, events and activities, including planning, scheduling and implementing recreational activities; monitors expenditures; administers the rental, scheduling, use and maintenance of recreation facilities.
Minimum requirements: Associate degree in parks and recreation management, construction management, facilities management, or a closely related field with five years progressively responsible experience in park maintenance and recreation programming experience inclusive of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential function of the job. Salary Range is $45,566.35 - $68,149.54 DOQ. Benefits include, but not limited to, vacation leave accrual, sick leave accrual, 24 hours of personal leave, excellent health insurance benefits to include 100% employer paid medical insurance premium and generous HSA or HRA employer contribution along with paid life insurance benefits, and a member of the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) with 1% employer pick up.
