Job Summary
The City Engineer/Assistant Public Works Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of all public and private municipal infrastructure improvements, as well as ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance related to public utilities.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise the planning, design, and construction of all public and private municipal infrastructure improvements.
- Oversee environmental and regulatory compliance related to public utilities.
- Collaborate with other departments and officials to develop Subdivision Agreements and provide engineering support services for economic development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota and ability to maintain certification.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
