Salary: Pool Supervisor - $28.00 - $30.00/hour
Water Safety Instructor / Shift Supervisor - $24.00/hour - new hire
$26.00/hour - returning for 2nd year
Lifeguard - $19.50/hour - new hire
$21.50hour - returning for 2nd year
$24.00/hour - returning for 3rd or more year
Pool/Shift Supervisor: Facilitate, coordinate, and implement bi-weekly in-service training for all aquatic
staff. Supervise staff and assign daily tasks. Develop weekly/bi-weekly work schedules for all AMHP staff.
Supervise the daily operation of AMHP facility and all staff during your assigned shift. Coordinate and
assist with the development of a learn to swim program. Coordinate with the Pool Manager weekly
supervisory staff meeting. Reports all concerns to the Pool Manager.
Water Safety Instructor (WSI) / Shift Supervisor: Instruct bi-weekly in-service training for all aquatic
staff. Develop, implement, and supervise the learn to swim program. Supervise the daily operation of
the AMHP facility during your assigned shift. Coordinate with the Pool Supervisor weekly/bi-weekly work
schedules for all AMHP staff. Attend weekly supervisory staff meeting.
Lifeguard: Enforce the rules and regulations of the facility. Respond to all emergencies and provide
medical assistance. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patrons. Assist with daily set-up, and
clean-up.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Possession of appropriate lifeguard training and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications as
required by the New York State Sanitary Code at the time of appointment and maintenance of said
certifications for the duration of employment.
2. Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to be eligible for appointment.
3. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to be eligible for appointments to WSI/Shift Supervisor
positions.
4. Must be Twenty-one (21) years of age to be eligible for appointment to Pool Supervisor and one
year (1) experience in an aquatic supervisory position.
