What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker position at City of Jefferson?
The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for Park Maintenance Seasonal positions in Athletic Field or Golf Course Maintenance, Construction/improvements, Forestry Maintenance, Mowing/Landscaping Maintenance, and Parks/ Facility Maintenance for our Parks and Recreation Department. Assist staff with mowing, weeding, mulching, janitorial and/or general building and grounds maintenance. Will operate a variety of power equipment and utility vehicles. Must represent Parks and Recreation in a positive, professional, and friendly manner. Outdoor work is required.Must have the ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to traverse rough terrain and work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
Landscaping and tree care experience, grounds maintenance, recreation facility maintenance, athletic field maintenance or construction experience preferred. Knowledge of power equipment operation experience preferred.
18 years of age preferred, 16 years of age required. Missouri Class E or higher driver's license preferred.Hours vary between 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, although weekend work may be required. Athletic Field Maintenance often includes evening and weekend hours. Hourly salary varies by position and experience.
