What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zoo Special Event Assistant position at City of Little Rock?
Assist outside vendors with location and logistic needs. Answer guest and/or vendor questions . Escort guests and vendors on a golf cart or other Zoo vehicle. Hosting guests for smaller corporate rentals/ Birthday parties Assist in communicating with guests interested in booking rentals. Be present at the event to ensure all is running smoothly; troubleshoot as necessary. Move tables and chairs and assist with overall event set-up. Set up and tear down tents, food tables, registration areas, and signage. Work registration desk / VIP as needed to ensure the process is smooth and error-free. In all aspects, an Event Assistant will act as a liaison and a front-line representative of the Little Rock Zoo.

Valid state driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Knowledge of special event management and/or operations is helpful but not required. Customer service oriented. Positive attitude. Care and concern for the Mission of the Little Rock Zoo and the City of Little Rock Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to follow directions. Ability to work well as a team
