Under the guidance of the Aquatic Manager, the Assistant Aquatic Manager assists in the management of areas related to the outdoor pool. This management includes, but is not limited to, evaluating operating hours, coordinating Lifeguards, and assessing Lifeguards. The Assistant Aquatic Manager will also fill the active role of a Lifeguard when scheduled during pool open hours.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assists with the safe operation of all aquatic services, including compliance with State health codesAssists with training, supervision, and evaluation of LifeguardsHelps maintain the weekly Lifeguard scheduleAssists with monthly Lifeguard in-service trainingMaintains pool related records and reportsCommunicates with Aquatic Manager about any situations which need immediate attention to ensure the safety of staff and patronsAssists in monitoring staff certifications and helps keep staff current in all certificationsEnsures patron satisfaction and handles complaints and concernsEnforces all rules and regulations of the outdoor pool to ensure the safety of staff and patronsLifeguards during pool open hoursPerforms various maintenance duties and other assigned duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facilityOther duties as assigned by the Aquatic Manager
