The City of Louisville has:
- 37 Parks totaling 355 acres
- 13 Playgrounds
- 11 Tennis courts
- 7 Basketball courts
- Multi use rink for Pickle ball
- Skate park
- 14 Athletic Fields
- Bee City USA designation; need your help to promote pollinators
The Season begins in April and ends in October. Positions are available before the beginning of the season working up to 29 hours per week and extends to 40 hours per week until the season ends in October. Options are available to end the season earlier.
Schedules may vary, weekends are available and a 4 day 10 hour schedule or a 5 day 8 hour shift both starting at 6am are options.
A safety toed boot reimbursement of $75 is available.
Under the general supervision of the Parks Supervisor and other full-time Parks staff, performs work in maintaining the City's grounds by mowing, trimming, pruning, ground and irrigation system maintenance, and painting. This position will utilize a variety of related maintenance equipment such as weed trimmers, lawn tractors and miscellaneous hand tools. Performs other work as required.

- Performs mowing, trimming and planting
- Prepares and maintains park areas including picking up trash
- Maintains landscape and irrigation systems
- Performs some painting, carpentry, and masonry work
- Operates maintenance equipment such as riding mowers, hand mowers, weed trimmers, pruning tools, aerators, sprayers, etc.
- All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license an acceptable driving record for continued employment.
- Some mowing, landscaping and/or irrigation experience preferred.
- Able to utilize weed trimmer, lawn tractor, skid steer and miscellaneous hand tools.
- Knowledge of and willingness to apply work safety rules and procedures.
- Ability and experience in the safe operation of tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, citizens, and contractors.

Physical Requirements of the Job:
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk; use fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and read and speak and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near parks maintenance equipment and moving mechanical parts. The work is performed in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to equipment vibration, fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, and sharp objects. The noise level in the work environment is at times loud.
