Job Description
Provide technical assistance and maintenance support for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, audio visual devices, business applications, and other office equipment. This position serves as the primary help desk support to users.
Duties / Responsibilities
Provide first line response for users requiring assistance with information technology issues and problems.Provide technical assistance and maintenance support for the City's IT hardware, software, mobile devices, AV equipment, network, as well as printers, scanners, copiers, and other peripheralsTracks and prioritizes requests utilizing the help desk systemPerforms replacement of PC's, laptops, and office equipment based on the city's capital replacement planAssist with distributing, configuring, and maintaining city-issued mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.)Performs post-resolution follow-ups with end-user and team members as necessaryInitiate hardware, software, and printer service calls with vendorsParticipate in new hire IT onboarding. Trains new hires on use of city technology and best practicesAssist with implementation and integration of new technologies.Assist with basic CISCO VoIP phone support, and the City's IP-based video surveillance systems as required.Performs other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position as apparent or assigned.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree in computer science, information systems, or other related technical field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree.Two (2) years of recent experience with troubleshooting and set up of PC's, laptops, AV equipment, copiers and printers, including experience in providing office support to users of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.One (1) year of recent experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange server.One (1) year experience supporting iOS devicesAbility to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings and early mornings.Must have valid MN driver's licenseDesirable Qualifications
Mobile device management (MDM) software experienceLocal government work experienceExperience working with outside vendorsExperience with BCA, CJIS, and PCI Security complianceExperience supporting Microsoft OneNoteExperience supporting Microsoft Office 365Additional Information
