**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Secretary to join our team in the Human Resources Department of the City of North Little Rock, AR. This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serves as receptionist, greets public, answers and directs incoming phone calls, provides general information regarding programs, accepts complaints and informs the public concerning the Hays Senior Citizens Center facilities, activities, and rental programs;
- Sets up for meetings, schedules and maintains appointment book for the Director, checks clerical work leaving the office for accuracy and completeness, schedules daily activities for Senior Citizen Center facilities, tracks sick and absent members;
- Coordinates office services, including housekeeping, conducts research and provides information as needed, handles or assists the Director in handling departmental matters, registers new and renewing members, collects dues and fees, issues receipts, accounts for the collection of fees and dues, issues refunds as necessary, and keeps records of all money collected;
- Assists with record keeping for day trips including attendance and mileage, maintains monthly calendar and lobby TV prompt.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited four-year college or university and one year of experience; or high school diploma or equivalent and five years related experience and/or training as a secretary; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Ability to complete 20 hours of continuing education annually and attain CPR/First Aid certificate within 6 months of hire;
- Possession of a valid Arkansas Class D driver's license and good driving record.
