What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Lifeguard position at City of Northfield, MN?
The City of Northfield is recruiting for a Seasonal Head Lifeguard at Old Memorial Pool. The Head Lifeguard works under the direct supervision of the Pool & Ice Arena Supervisor and/or Pool Manager. This position is responsible for managing daily pool operations, including, but not limited to, supervising Lifeguard staff; maintaining the facility; planning and conducting in-service training for staff; and performing lifeguard duties.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must have a minimum of one season, or six months of lifeguarding experience, supervisory experience preferred
- Completion of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (R-94), Water Safety Instructor, Head Lifeguard, Water Park Lifeguarding Module, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid, or equivalent, is required
- Ability to work early June to the end of August
