Job Details
The City of Plano is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Public Works Crew Leader in our Pumping Facilities Department. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of ten water towers, four pump stations, and six sewer lift stations the ideal candidate will conduct regular inspections, ensure equipment efficiency, and use the city’s SCADA software to monitor system performance and respond to alarms. Additional duties include responding to after-hours emergencies, coordinating field responses, operating backup generators during outages, and performing basic troubleshooting on electrical systems and PLC equipment. This position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to act swiftly and effectively in the field. Qualified candidates must have at least two years of experience in water utilities or wastewater operations and hold a valid Class C Water Distribution license.
