Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City. The City Ambassador Program seeks graduates of City University to serve as knowledgeable and engaged representatives within the community. Ambassadors will connect with local stakeholders, participate in quarterly meetings, and stay informed through regular updates. This role offers opportunities for volunteers to engage with city events, provide valuable community feedback, and represent city messaging professionally and consistently. Ambassadors will develop strong ties within the community while upholding the city’s standards of communication and conduct
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Keeps the mission, vision, and values of the City of Port St. Lucie at the forefront of decision making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations. Attend City events and assist with setup, breakdown, and operations.Engage with residents at City events.Engage with local businesses, civic groups, HOAs, and other community stakeholders.Attend quarterly evening meetings and stay updated through an app and monthly emails.Share rotating messages from city departments on seasonal topics.Complete initial and annual training sessions covering responsibilities, guidelines, and feedback processes.Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional tone in all communications.Ensure accuracy and consistency in shared information.Provide community feedback and represent the city's messaging and priorities effectively.Other duties as may be assigned.
