Routine and non-routine, high-profile administrative support duties performed as dictated. Position acts as liaison between City Council and City Manager, Department Directors, County and State Officials, representatives of the media, the general public, and City employees. Work is subject to general supervision. Position deals with sensitive data and a high degree of accountability and matters of a confidential nature. This highly visible position exercises judgement concerning assigned duties requiring the ability to function independently. The scope and degree of knowledge required is that of a more complex and advanced office. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.

Keeps the mission, vision, and values of the City of Port St. Lucie at the forefront of decision making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.Handles a high volume of calls and creates, responds, monitors, and resolves customer service-related matters utilizing excellent customer service and programs such as 1PSL and other data systems.Provides support to the City Manager’s Office through daily telephone calls and/or email contact.Provides executive assistant support to the Assistant City Manager and Deputy City Manager.Maintains and schedules executive staff calendars.Performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to, faxing, scanning, drafting correspondence and memoranda, etc.Monitors incoming and outgoing mail for the City Manager’s office. Responsible for picking up, disseminating, and delivering mail daily. May serve as a point of contact for calendar inquiries and meeting requests for the executive team.Communicates the availability of the executive team. May monitor email messages and prioritize requests for action.Organizes and informs Assistant City Manager and Deputy City Manager of conferences and meetings. May coordinate travel arrangements and registration for conferences and meetings.Prepares various types of written correspondence (examples: ceremonial messages, thank you greetings, and condolence letters).Assists with follow-up items and/or open items at the direction of the Assistant City Manager and Deputy City Manager.Provides back-up support and coverage for the City Manager’s Office as needed.In office working hours required.Other duties as may be assigned.
