HOURS and DURATION:
Applicants must currently be pursuing a degree or certification in Electronics, Business or Government Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field of study at a college, technical or vocational school.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work consists of field inspections that can expose the employee to inclement weather and the hazards of a construction site or traffic and requires climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling. Ability to maneuver on uneven terrain. Indoor work consists of using a computer and requires the incumbent to sit for potentially long periods of time. Some lifting may be required.
Must obtain a Washington State Flagger card within one month of hire (City will assist).Selection Process

- Reviewing right of way (ROW) plans
- Permit review and data entry
- Permit accounts receivable
- Bond preparation
- Standards and Procedures testing
- Provide Field support
- Equipment inventory and organization
- Streetlight maintenance
- Traffic signal preventative maintenance
- Field utility locates
- CCTV Maintenance and installation
HOURS and DURATION:
- Monday – Friday (40 hrs. /wk.), generally 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Positions can start April 1 through June 30 dependent upon specific work group needs.
- Positions are limited to working no more 1040 work hours per calendar year between April 1 and September 30.

Education and Experience:
- Enrolled and attending a two or four year college or university, or vocational training school
- Experience using computer, including MS Office (email, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel), and general office equipment.
