Job Summary:
This seasonal position is responsible for supervisory and participatory work in directing recreational programs and assisting with major programs. Work involves responsibility for planning, scheduling, supervising and assisting in the development and execution of recreation programs. Employees in this position are expected to be able to perform any and all work tasks while also complying with any work schedules, attendance, or duty requirements which are established by the City of Rifle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and participates in the planning and implementation of recreational activity programs and events; creates schedules as needed.
Prepares seasonal brochure information and creates publicity materials in cooperation with the marketing coordinator.
Maintain inventory and order program equipment and supplies.
Supervises and participates in conducting classes, supervision of activity participants,collecting of activity fees and other items involved. Maintains records on program activities,attendance, and other pertinent information; prepares a variety of operational and business reports, and associated correspondence.
Prepares and maintains records and reports of activities.
Assists with the coordination and execution of City of Rifle special events.
Opens and closes facilities for public use; sets up and tears down for events as instructed.
Transports equipment and materials to various locations using City vehicles.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: No minimum education required.
Job Requirements: Must be at least 17 years old and have a valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire with an acceptable motor vehicle record. Must pass a background check with results acceptable to the City of Rifle.
This is a part-time, seasonal position, with no benefits, beginning summer of 2025. The wage range for this position is $17.51-$20.60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Salary : $18 - $21
