Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Solid Waste, is responsible for sales, account collection and marketing of the Land Preserve. Maintains close and positive relations with customer base.
Essential Job Functions:
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
1. Primarily responsible for development and implementation of sales and marketing of solid waste services. Serves as public liaison responsible for promoting and maintaining positive business relations with customers and the public. May be required to prepare presentations, and attend professional meetings.
2. Negotiates rates and terms for solid waste services with customers under the guidelines approved by the City Council, City administration and Director of Solid Waste.
3. Prepares and presents sales reports and other reports as requested. Attends City Council meetings and other meetings involving solid waste sales and marketing as required.
4. Maintains contact with current and prospective customers to assist with customer needs and to promote long term business relationships. Attempts to expand customer base by using cold calls, developing and maintaining professional contacts, implementing new services, and following up on sales leads.
5. Responsible for communicating sales and marketing strategies to staff and City administration as needed.
6. Acts as customer contact for customer collections and problem resolution in conjunction with the Finance Director and Director of Solid Waste.
7. Responsible for acquiring and maintaining proper certificates of insurance for Land Preserve customers.
8. Performs other related duties as required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
