Under general supervision, the HR Specialist provides human resources support, guidance and advice to management and employees relative to a specialized area of Human Resources. Work involves coordinating and administering human resources management programs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assists in the planning, development and implementation of processes and procedures within the area of specialization.
Posted range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience.
- Collaborate with Human Resources team to onboard seasonal employees.
- Provides guidance and communicates with management and employees relative to interpretation and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Assists in problem-solving activities and addresses issues as they arise. Monitors situations to ensure problems are resolved.
- Within the area of specialization, assists in the development of policies, procedures, processes and programs to facilitate the efficient flow of human resources information and requirements. May collaborate and participate on teams for projects related to area of specialization.
- Prepares and maintains various human resources correspondence, reports, records and files relative to area of specialization. Use of automated systems will be required.
- Ensure deadlines are met by maintaining calendars and tracking timelines.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human resources management or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in human resources work. Additional experience may substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
