Part Time positions are limited to working no more than an average of 20 hours per week and no more than 999 hours per fiscal year. Specific hours for each position are determined per department and per budgetary approval.

- Facility, fields and sports scheduling;
- Activity registration;
- Coordination of daily set-up and take-down of gymnasium facility;
- Coordination of youth and adults sports programs and activities;
- Issuing and accounting for gymnasium and other sports-related athletic equipment;
- Monitoring the usage of facilities by the public and other organizations;
- Greeting the public, receiving telephone calls and providing information to the public;
- Providing staff support for special events, as needed;
- Providing general maintenance and up-keep of gymnasium facility;
- May serve as back-up for other department facilities, if necessary;
- Perform other related work as assigned.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other modern office methods and practices with computer hardware and software.
- Knowledge of effective interpersonal communication, and the practices and methods of basic public relations and customer service.
- Skilled in prioritizing, organizing, and handling multiple simultaneous duties and projects.
- Skilled in preparing and delivering clear, concise and accurate written and oral communications including documents, reports, records, presentations, phone and email correspondence, etc.
- Skilled in applying sound and rational judgment, discretion, and diplomacy when making decisions and solving problems.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with employees and members of the public.
- Knowledge of registration software (ActiveNet or similar) highly desirable.
- Ability to perform all duties with flexibility and composure, and respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness and appreciation of the cultural diversity of the community.
- Ability to facilitate and participate in meetings and trainings.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions and directions.

- Ability to lift or carry weight of 45 pounds or less.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills highly desirable.
Education equivalent to high school graduate with experience and/or training providing the required knowledge and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
