What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastics/Tumbling Instructor position at City of Shoreview?
Shoreview's program is designed to teach beginning to intermediate level gymnastics skills in a fun, safe environment. General classes are offered for girls and boys ages 3 through 8. We also offer a Toddler and Parent program for 2 -3 year olds. While tumbling skills are emphasized, basic and intermediate skills are also taught on balance beam, bars and vault.
Classes are 45 minutes in length. A staff t-shirt is provided.
- Teach various skill levels and ages in tumbling and gymnastics
- Plan and organize classes so the children remain active throughout the session
- Communicate with parents and answer questions
- Set up, break down, and store equipment as needed
- Create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for participants
- Current or previous experience in gymnastics is preferred but not required. We will train.
- Desire and ability to work with children.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Hours: Classes are offered on Saturdays from 9 am - 3 pm
