Water Division Supervisor
The City of Sunnyside currently has an opening for the position of Water Division Supervisor. The Water Supervisor directs operation and maintenance of municipal water system. Supervises water source and transmission distribution, construction & maintenance. Determines operating procedures assigns and supervises personnel, including positions operating equipment on a regular basis. Plans, organizes, inspects, and supervises the installation, operation, construction, maintenance and repair of the water pumping and distribution system of the City including budget tracking, preparation, and expenditures. Collaborates with the Public Works Director and Division Supervisors to develop department and division budgets.
- Principles and practices used in water pumping and distribution systems.
- Methods, techniques and equipment related to water pumping and distribution.
- Effective and proper safety standards, practices and procedures relating to equipment operation, chemical treatment and the use of hand and power tools and equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D. Five (5) years progressively responsible experience in a water pumping and distribution operations and maintenance including three (3) years supervisory experience. Bi-lingual preferred, not required.
Special Requirements
Certification Required: Valid Washington State Commercial Driver’s License, class B. Valid Water Distribution Manager III Certification, Required. Valid Cross Connection Specialist Certification, Required.
