Public Works Technician I - Street Department
This position performs repairs and routine maintenance on City-owned streets and City equipment, as needed.
Responsibilities
Performs scheduled maintenance, cleaning and repairs on City streets, right-of-ways, storm water drainage systems, etc.
Repairs routine maintains city streets by patching asphalt, concrete and gravel streets.
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on City equipment.
Cleans or prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards, sets barricades and traffic cones in accordance with policy to safely reroute traffic away from the work area, or to set up for special events.
Performs routine maintenance activities such as trash and carcass removal, changing lights and snow removal from City streets, parking lots and gravel roads.
Provides support to other City Public Works Departments, when needed.
Qualified Candidate should possess a clean driving record and a Class A Commercial Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
