Under the general direction/supervision of the Recreation Specialist this position is responsible for assisting Recreation Specialists with programs/special events/athletic leagues.
Seasonal: Must be willing and have ability to have flexible hours that may include weekends and evenings. This position will work the week of May 12 through Friday, August 29. Approximately 35-40 hours per week with the possibility of extended hours with specific program needs.

- Assist Recreation Specialist in monitoring and communicating work direction to seasonal staff to insure excellent customer service.
- Coordinate and put together supplies, documents, and schedules for adaptive, adult, preschool and youth recreational programs.
- Run errands such as: dropping off rosters and supplies, copying curriculum and shopping for needed material throughout the summer.
- Utilizing recreation software, provide staffing support including data entry, waitlist calls, cancellations, records management and report processing in a timely manner.
- East Metro Miracle League on-site supervisor directs volunteers and coordinates league play.
- Assists with coordination of league schedule, coaches, volunteers, volunteer groups, equipment and supplies for East Metro Miracle League and Adult Leagues.
- Help generate social media posts and marketing materials for the adult athletic leagues, East Metro Miracle League, general recreation programs and events.
- Additional hours will be required with onsite leadership at various recreational programs and events such as Kidz Carnival Kraze, 4th of July Celebration, Woodbury Days, Half-pint Safety Camp, pickleball tournaments and leagues, and others.
- Pee Wee Sports supervisor directs other seasonal staff.
- Assist with creating curriculum for various programs.
- Adult Yard Games League coordinator.
- Assist with creating curriculum, manage equipment and inventory, record keeping, and other duties as assigned for mobile based recreation program.
- Ability to communicate professionally over the phone, in person and in written form
- Must be over the age of 18 with a valid Driver's License
- Familiarities with basic computer software including Microsoft Windows suite of office programs for both accurate and professional looking correspondence including the use of Word, Publisher and Excel software
- Must be able to life/move 50 pounds; must be able to move up/down sets of stairs on a frequent basis
- Experience leading youth recreational events and programs
- Experience designing and implementing youth curriculum
- Experience supervising staff
- Experience supervising athletic leagues and/or tournaments
- Knowledge of athletic league rules - specifically softball, soccer, pickleball and volleyball
- Officiating experience with youth or adult athletic leagues
- Experience working with children with special needs
