Job Title: Vice President of Sales
Position Summary: The Vice President of Sales (VPS) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations across multiple communities. The VPS will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to achieve census goals, drive revenue growth, and create a strong sales culture. This position requires close collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing, Regional Directors of Sales and Marketing (RDSMs), the CSMO, and other senior executives to ensure alignment with business objectives and market trends. The Vice President of Sales reports directly to the CSMO.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develops, oversees, and drives the implementation of sales and marketing plans for communities.
- Partners with the CSMO to establish company-wide Sales Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to drive performance and accountability.
- Sets monthly company-wide incentives and momentum leader programs to enhance occupancy rates.
- Identifies and implements additional revenue growth opportunities to maximize business potential.
- Evaluate and recommend new sales and marketing programs to achieve census targets.
Team Oversight & Management:
- Provides oversight and management of Regional Directors of Sales and Marketing (RDSMs), ensuring they meet census goals while fostering a positive customer experience within their teams. Ensure compliance of Civitas’ standards.
- Manages Sales Specialists and Call Specialists, ensuring alignment with company sales objectives.
- Interviews, hires, and develops high-performing RDSMs and Sales Specialist to strengthen the sales organization.
- Creates a culture of excellence in sales, fostering collaboration, motivation, and innovation within the company.
Sales & Marketing Collaboration:
- Works closely with the Vice President of Marketing to design and execute monthly sales and marketing campaigns.
- Supports the development and execution of marketing strategies that generate high-quality leads and align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Defines lead and prospect handling processes and ensures they are monitored and managed per company standards to maximize conversion rates.
Training & Development:
- Provides ongoing sales training and coaching to regional teams and community marketing teams, enhancing skills and improving performance.
- Develops and delivers sales training programs for Executive Directors to ensure effective leadership in community-level sales efforts.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Conducts regular site visits to communities and competitor locations to assess market trends and sales opportunities.
- Creates efficiencies in sales and marketing support processes to streamline operations.
- Reports sales efforts and progress weekly to the CEO, COO, CSMO, and EVPO, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.
Industry & Market Awareness:
- Stay up-to-date with senior living industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Leverages industry insights to refine sales strategies and drive continued success.
