What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Account Executive, Brokerage position at CJ Logistics?
The National Account Executive is responsible for the profitable acquisition of new business and day-to-day management of National-Account customers for the Freight Brokerage business. This will include working with operational teams to ensure customer expectations are met as well as expansion of customer “share-of-wallet” through ongoing performance and relationship management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- New customer acquisition to include those that have had no previous relationship with CJ Logistics America and affiliates, or lapsed customers as defined by the VP of Brokerage and/or SVP of Transportation Use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities
- Ensure newly acquired business meets assigned service, profitability and account receivable requirements
- Manage deals from initial partner contact to contract signing, launch and growth
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets and growth objectives
- Work with Operational teams (Support, Execution and Operations) to support the customer to meet their needs as efficiently as possible
- Refer non-Freight Brokerage leads as appropriate to peer Customer Development contacts
- Work collaboratively in a positive and respectful manner with all Brokerage team members
- Perform other related job duties as required, within the scope of training and expertise"
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain or related field required
- 10 years of experience of transportation sales experience, primarily in new customer acquisition
- Ability to bring in new customers
- Ability to meet or exceed sales metrics and financial expectations
- Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, aggressiveness and confidence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Salary : $178,349 - $227,396
