CL&D has a great opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Hartland, WI.
The Accounting Specialist will have a primary focus on Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyze financial records in compliance with accounting principles.
- Match vendor invoices with receiving documents and ensure proper approvals.
- Process vendor invoices and payments via ERP system, ACH, and checks.
- Address vendor payment inquiries and perform statement reconciliations.
- Handle monthly AP closing and assist with annual 1099/1096 filings.
- Support AR functions, including customer invoicing and credit memos.
- Prepare reports, journal entries, and assist with month-end close.
- Generate reports and participate in accounting projects.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance or minimum two years of comparable experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel
- Experience in ERP systems and comfort utilizing online customer portals.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to work both collaboratively with a team and in an individual environment.
- Able to manage and complete multiple tasks.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure, while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines and work and perform tasks with minimum supervision.
