What are the responsibilities and job description for the CGU-Administrative Coordinator, CISAT position at Claremont Graduate University?
The Administrative Coordinator, Center of Information Systems and Technology (CISAT) will support operational tasks required within the Center. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, experienced, and student-centered individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of CISAT with administrative tasks, including coordinating events, managing databases, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and administrators.
- Facilitate student success through program orientation, milestones, qualifying exams, and dissertation defenses.
- Coordinate program events, work with advancement, admissions, and alumni relations as needed, and ensure accurate information is tracked in people soft.
- Manage room reservations, supervise academic support student workers, and assist with website updates.
- Work closely with the Director of Recruitment for CISAT to enhance school brand and reputation, identify and select successful candidates, and coordinate application review and admission committee decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role, with excellent customer service experience required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and proficiency in MS Office systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and sensitivity to working with diverse populations.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
