PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Coordinator supports the daily operations and ongoing development of the public health programs at CGU within the School of Community and Global Health (SCGH). This role plays a key part in maintaining program quality by assisting with curriculum management, accreditation coordination, student support, and data reporting. The Administrative Coordinator also facilitates communication between students, faculty, and staff, oversees student workers, and ensures alignment with institutional and accreditation standards to help fulfill the mission and goals of the School.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program Coordination:
  • Support daily operations of the public health programs
  • Assist administration in the management of program curricula to ensure alignment with accreditation requirements and industry standards.
  • Facilitate communication between faculty, students, and administrative staff.
  • Support SCGH program committees, including management of records
  • Support updating of SC resources.
  • Track and report on student progress, including enrollment, retention, and graduation rates.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to address inquiries and refer to relevant personnel
  • Coordinate with the Registrar’s Office and other departments to ensure accurate student records and degree audits.
Accreditation Coordination:
  • Provide administrative support for accreditation
  • Coordinate efforts to monitor and ensure compliance with CEPH criteria and other accrediting standards and requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of accreditation reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to meet accreditation standards.
Applied Practice Experience (APE) Coordination:
  • Facilitate legal paperwork completion and updates for SCGH programs and engage with relevant personnel as necessary
Data Management and Reporting:
  • Support the collection and analysis of data related to program performance and student outcomes.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including accreditation bodies, university administration, and faculty.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies for continuous program improvement based on data and feedback.
Support for Faculty and Staff:
  • Support faculty and staff in the execution of program-related activities and events.
Communication and Outreach:
  • Oversee efforts to maintain the program’s website and other communication channels to ensure up-to-date and accurate information, including overseeing student worker(s).
Other:
  • Overseeing student workers supporting SCGH objectives
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the vision, mission, and of SCGH
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Higher Education Administration, or a related field required preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Proven experience in academic program coordination, with a strong understanding of CEPH accreditation processes.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data management, report generation, and use of academic software systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced academic environment.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Higher Education Administration, or a related field required preferred or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years’ experience in administrative office position.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: N/A
OTHER PREFERENCES: Experience in academic recruiting and/or program administration.
HOURS: The regular hours for this position are 8:30a.m. to 5p.m. Hours may vary due to needs of the College or department.
CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: This is a full-time, 12-month, (non-exempt level) position. Benefits eligible.
