Overview:
The Clarion Hotel in Broken Arrow, OK is looking for an Assistant General Manager(AGM) to join our team. If you have a passion for hospitality and possess excellent customer service skills, we invite you to join our team.
An Assistant General Manager (AGM) at a hotel is responsible for the hotel's daily operations and overall success. They work with the General Manager to plan and oversee operations, and may take on the General Manager's responsibilities when they're absent. AGMs typically report directly to the General Manager and may have non-managerial staff reporting to them. Here are some of the responsibilities of an AGM:
- Guest relations: Ensure guests have a high-quality experience and respond to their needs in a timely and efficient manner
- Employee management: Recruit, select, train, and orient new staff, and create staff schedules
- Operations: Oversee the daily operations of all departments, including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance
- Quality assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with brand standards and industry regulations
- Administrative support: Provide administrative support to the General Manager and carry out their policies
- Profitability: Analyze department performance, report problem areas, and make recommendations to improve profitability
- Communication: Facilitate communication between the team and top-level management
Duties:
- Manage all front desk activities, including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
- Supervise front desk staff and provide training as needed
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Conduct night audits and prepare daily reports
- Utilize phone systems efficiently to manage incoming calls
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality management or a similar role
- Strong customer service and guest relations skills
- Proficiency in front desk operations and hotel management software
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
