What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Management Intern position at Clark Food Service Equipment?

This internship will have you working with our sales, design and project management team through the life cycle of a commercial food service construction project. Our projects are with senior living facilities, healthcare operations, amusement parks and more. Our internship role includes on the job experience as well as a fully curated internship program that includes roundtable discussions with other interns, a volunteer day and exposure and interaction with members of our exective team. The program allows potential new hires to learn about what our company has to offer ahead of entering the workforce full-time.
A Construction Management Intern will
In Office (75% of the time):
A Construction Management Intern will
- Assist with submittal packages including schematics, spec books, rough ins, utility schedules, and project schedules
- Conduct market research
- Engage in design "jams" with the design team in laying out new commercial kitchen spaces and understanding the customer's operation
- Manage timely and effective correspondence with all project team members
- Conduct site visits with sales, design and project management
- Other tasks as assigned by management
- Ambitious to succeed in a fast-paced team environment
- Able to multitask
- Able to display excellent organizational skills
- An excellent written/verbal communicator
- Excellent time management skills
- Construction, design or drafting experience or major would be beneficial but not required

- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
