About the Role:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity across all departments. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, cost control, and process improvements, while leading a high-performing team.
The Plant Manager will collaborate closely with leadership in Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure the facility meets performance goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Production Management
- Oversee all plant operations, ensuring production goals are met on time and within budget.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive efficiency.
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to production, waste reduction, and machine uptime.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Work with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a team across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse departments.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to supervisors and department heads.
- Drive employee engagement and workforce development through training programs and career growth opportunities.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce and enhance safety programs, promoting a zero-incident workplace.
- Oversee quality assurance efforts, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency.
Supply Chain & Cost Management
- Work closely with Supply Chain & Procurement teams to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
- Develop and manage plant budgets, controlling costs related to labor, materials, and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements without compromising product quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a plant management or leadership role.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
