We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Administrator to manage our portfolio of commercial construction loans. This role involves juggling multiple responsibilities, from monitoring project progress and managing draw requests to collaborating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and borrowers. You will play a key role in ensuring successful project outcomes by maintaining clear communication and upholding high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with loan officers, developers, and contractors to establish and maintain construction budgets and disbursement processes.
- Monitor construction progress through site visits, inspections, and monthly draw meetings.
- Process and track construction draw requests accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with underwriting by evaluating construction assumptions.
- Maintain construction management reports and update cost databases.
- Handle multiple simultaneous tasks, including managing relationships with contractors, sub-contractors, lenders, and borrowers.
- Meet defined timelines and project deadlines while working independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure smooth transitions from construction to permanent loans.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for project tracking and analysis.
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in construction draws, underwriting, or construction project management.
- Passion for real estate development and historic preservation.
- Ability to explain processes carefully and thoughtfully while following established protocols.
- 4-7 years of experience in commercial real estate financing, banking, or construction industry.
- Experience with historic preservation or renovation projects.
