PARK RENTAL ATTENEDANT
JOB TITLE: PARK RENTAL ATTENDANT (SEASONAL)
DEPARTMENT: PARKS & RECREATION/ INTERNAT'L PARK
MUST MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a driver’s license or State issued I.D. and must possess an original Social Security Card. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Must be comfortable working outside in summer conditions. Must be available for work on weekends and holidays. Must attend all staff meetings, orientations, and training. May be required to perform duties on a split shift and may be required to work up to 25 hours per week-days and times vary.
NATURE OF WORK: The purpose of this classification is to assist clients during their event/activity rental, in a manner that assures an efficient, safe, and clean operation while providing clients with the highest quality service possible. Work involves performing duties requiring independence, accountability, and responsibility. This is a highly responsible position working under the direction of the Division Administrator or his/her designee.
SOME OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Review client files and become familiar with the purpose of the event/activity. Coordinate with maintenance for regularly scheduled clean-up and service request. Assist with traffic control and provide signs for rented areas. Assure clients are properly instructed in all operations and procedures of the space rented. Perform opening and closing of facilities. Understand Emergency procedures and processes. Performs other related duties as required.
Tasks require the regular and sustained performance of moderately physical demanding work, typically involving some combinations of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling and that generally involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds). Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, odor, depth, performance of essential functions may require exposure of adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, or traffic hazards.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selection will be made from a register of eligible applicants that may be established by education, work experience, test score, personal interview, credit check, criminal history, driving history (copy of driver’s license may be required), drug screen, and/or physical examination.
