Summary: This position combines both a strong technical component and an important sales component. This position is the key contact point for CTG chemistry products and for related process knowledge as well as the main influence for all chemistry related R&D efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications/Skills: Must have technical knowledge of cleaning chemistries and the aqueous cleaning process. Must have chemical formulation background. Must be competent with computers and be able to use Word, Excel (Pareto charting, line graphs, trendlines, etc.), PowerPoint, and practical application. Project management skills and experience.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering Required. At least 5 years’ experience in related field. Must be well organized with knowledge of PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, especially Excel), accurate data entry skills and ability to work under pressure.
Language Skills: Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments and supervision as to work in progress, problems and/or completion. Excellent verbal and written communications. Chinese and or Spanish a plus. Must be able to professionally present information to groups of employees, customers, suppliers etc.
Mathematical Skills: Commensurate with degrees.
Reasoning Ability: Must be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
Physical Demands: Sit at workstation for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to adjust visual focus. May be required to reach, stoop and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to climb stairs as necessary. Some light lifting may be required. Some travel required.
Work Environment: Work in controlled environment of lab, along with traditional office atmosphere and traditional shop atmosphere. Can be exposed to loud noises and various fumes or smells based on job. Work around high voltage machinery.

- Develop and demonstrate appropriate cleaning, separation and filtration processes for customer applications.
- Develop new cleaners to support the equipment while continuing to update and improve the current cleaning formulations.
- Perform parts cleaning/deburring tests as needed and write lab reports.
- Answer technical questions for customer, to aid in the sale of the machine.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and the sales organization as it relates to cleaning chemistries and processes.
- Actively promote CTG chemistries while working closely with our customers and internal / external sales teams.
- Build the chemistry business across all divisions and on a global basis.
- Review chemical SDS and Tech Data Sheets on an annual bases.
- Target 6% chemical sales growth by utilizing existing customers and products while forming complementary market relationships.
- Develop a detailed playbook for the chemical department.
- Work with the VP of Sales to find and develop a backup chemical blender in the event that an unexpected change would need to occur.
- Leverage information and products from other suppliers by forming relationships in order to grow the chemical business though relabeling.
- Other functions as directed.
