Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and / or handwrittenpathology cases into the laboratory information system Provides complete and accurate resolution to all user inquiries orredirects inquirer to the appropriate resource(s) in a timely mannerIdentifies problems, determines and provides / implements appropriatecorrective action / accurate solutions Researches, troubleshoots and follows up to ensure allinquiries / problems are resolved in a timely mannerTranscribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes and othermedical documents from recorded messages from health careproviders Provide online copies of transcribed documents to physicians or otherproviders for review and signature, making corrections or changes asnoted Familiarity with proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure aswell as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracyMaintain patient records Work with transcription and dictation equipment that can includespeech recognition equipment, word processing, and computersoftware Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according toprovider standards and government regulations Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision tospot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medicalliability Create templates and enter data into electronic health record (EHR)systems for updated record keeping and archives Requirements : Requires a High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious Pathology transcription experienced a plusExperience with transcriptionist software is preferredExcellent data entry and typing skillsStrong communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detailsProficient in Microsoft Office
