We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth operation within our dental or medical office, and it requires strong communication skills, insurance verification, answering phones, scheduling patients, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the office, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries regarding services.
- Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Utilize Athenahealth software for patient management and record-keeping.
- Assist in coding procedures using ICD-10 when necessary.
- Provide support to dental or medical staff as needed, including managing office supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental or medical office is preferred.
- Proficiency in using office software, particularly Athenahealth, is highly desirable.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient base.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of coding practices (ICD-10) is a plus but not mandatory.
