CMR Construction & Roofing is looking for an Collections Specialist to join its Residential AR Team. As a Collections Specialist you will responsible for collecting money that is owed to CMR from its customers.
This is a full-time, preferably hybrid position (to work out of our Naples Office).
COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (MIN 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for the project as needed (or coordinate with other CMR employees/agents) and secure customer signatures
- Submit required documents to customer and ensure their receipt
- Track status of assigned projects to identify when milestones have been reached to initiate customer billing
- Follow-up with mortgage processors to ensure prompt release of funds
- Consistently follow-up with customers to secure payments
- Proactively identify and prevent issues
- Work with other CMR Departments to promptly resolve issues that arise that are preventing prompt payment
- Provide all assistance needed by other CMR Departments and/or employees/agents to ensure the project reached PAID IN FULL status
- Tracking aging of invoices and "last day of work" to ensure CMR files liens for any work that it has not been paid for
- Proactively escalate issues that are inhibiting prompt payment to CMR
- Other tasks as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:
- At least 2 years of collections, customer service, and/or sales experience is required
- Account management experience
- Knowledge of debt collection legal requirements
- Roofing and insurance restoration experience and/or knowledge is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
- must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
