POSITION SUMMARY - A HR Generalist Specialist is responsible for undertaking a wide range of HR tasks performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out data support responsibilities in the following functional areas : recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support managers in strategic planning efforts related to staffing levels and requirements.
- Assist with coordination of employee benefit programs.
- Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation.
- Employee relations and personnel management
- Reporting personnel data
- Perform full lifecycle recruiting activities including candidate sourcing, screening, offer negotiation and hiring of candidate.
- Identify and implement use of recruiting sources (including social media platforms) and strategies to expand outreach and engage diverse, active and passive candidates.
- Track recruitment activity and other metrics to ensure a qualified diverse applicant pool.
- Build and foster relationships with prospective candidates for future vacancies.
- Provide guidance and advice to management and staff on recruitment and selection issues.
- Create and maintain recruitment SOPs to ensure consistent, efficient processes.
- Assist with development of training programs. Conduct recruitment related trainings; serve as SME for college-wide forums and meetings.

- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
