Job Summary:

CNY Cleaning Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Custodial Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in custodial services and supervisory experience. This role involves hands-on cleaning duties as well as overseeing a team of custodians to ensure all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The Working Custodial Supervisor will also be responsible for conducting routine inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

Lead, manage, and motivate a team of custodians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.

Schedule and assign daily tasks and projects, ensuring adequate coverage for all areas and shifts.

Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.

Hands-On Cleaning:

Perform and assist with cleaning duties as required, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Ensure restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Handle special cleaning projects, such as carpet cleaning, floor waxing, and window washing, as well as emergency clean-ups as needed.

Quality Control and Inspections:

Conduct routine inspections of all facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to company standards.

Address and resolve any cleaning issues or complaints promptly and effectively.

Implement and maintain a quality control program to monitor and improve cleaning services.

Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Provide training on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols to all custodial staff.

Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department and ensure timely resolution.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Assist in the development and implementation of cleaning policies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in custodial management preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of custodial experience, with at least 2 year in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
