This role involves handling medical charts daily at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, ensuring they are in proper order, accurately documented, and ready for billing submission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chart Collection: Retrieve patient charts daily from Bakersfield Memorial following established protocols.
- Organization & Review: Review each chart for completeness, verifying that necessary documents and forms are included and legible.
- Order & Prepare: Arrange charts in a standardized order for easy processing by the billing team.
- Shipping Preparation: Package and label charts accurately to prepare for secure daily shipments to the billing company.
- Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines and hospital policies for handling patient information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
