Position Overview :
The Right of Way Agent plays a crucial role in managing and facilitating the acquisition of right-of-way (ROW) for the transmission and distribution of electrical power.
Key Responsibilities :
- ROW Acquisition : Identify, negotiate, and acquire easements and rights-of-way for transmission and distribution projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, governmental entities, and community organizations to facilitate smooth ROW acquisition processes.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all ROW activities comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Project Support : Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to provide ROW support for new projects and upgrades.
- Documentation : Prepare and maintain accurate records of ROW agreements, negotiations, and correspondence.
- Conflict Resolution : Address and resolve disputes with landowners or stakeholders regarding ROW issues in a professional manner.
- Site Assessments : Conduct field surveys and assessments to identify potential ROW needs and evaluate environmental impacts.
- Reporting : Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for management and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications :
