POSITION: Community Guest Assistant
REPORTS TO: Manager of Guest Services
STATUS: Hourly – Non-Exempt
OVERVIEW: The Community Guest Assistant accommodates community members with access to showers, hygiene and laundry services under the general guidance of the Guest Services Supervisor. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, commitment and adaptability in order to effectively uphold Coalition values and maintain an environment of dignity, respect and cooperation.

OVERVIEW: The Community Guest Assistant accommodates community members with access to showers, hygiene and laundry services under the general guidance of the Guest Services Supervisor. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community members’ access to showers, hygiene products, laundry services, and mail collection.
- Distribute essential items such as hygiene products and clean clothing.
- Lock and secure personal belongings of guests, maintaining written documentation of all items while in Coalition staff’s possession.
- Maintain accurate service logs of persons served and forward data to appropriate departments.
- Collect and enter data into designated systems to ensure accurate records.
- Use computer systems and email to document, communicate, and track information as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of donated supplies and community resources.
- Ensure all written documentation is legible and properly recorded.
- Employ best practices to promote facility cleanliness and safety.
- Complete daily housekeeping tasks and maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Perform radio checks and maintain communication at all times while on duty.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Adhere to assigned work schedules and maintain punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties necessary for effective program operations or as assigned by the Guest Services Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in customer service preferred.
- Some understanding of the homeless population and related challenges.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. to receive donations and move property.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on agency needs.
